Villeneuve: "Norris was eliminated because of Piastri's dirtiness"

We have come to expect from Jacques Villeneuve that whenever he appears, he makes outrageous statements from time to time. However, this one is even for him as if he were watching a movie backwards...
What we saw was that Lando Norris fell victim to his own stupidity, and this is not the first time. This was further supported by the now infamous apology radio message from the driver with the #4 race number. Then came Villeneuve's statement, after which he can boldly request his recording for the British media. Oh, he already works there?
"It's very easy to blame Norris for the accident between the two McLarens. He wasn't the one playing dirty, it was Oscar Piastri! He just reacted too late to what the Australian did when he slowly moved to the left. He shouldn't have done that; it was a clever but extremely unsportsmanlike move, for which he will surely get a talking-to from Zak Brown's team. I don't blame the fans for getting it wrong, but for the FIA to as well, that's telling...
By the way, this could have been a particularly exciting race if it hadn't been neutered. Instead of a safety car finish, there could have been a two-lap sprint, but instead, we got what we got: a boring conclusion." - Villeneuve reflected, demonstrating the textbook example of how to hit two targets with one kick.
