Vettel: “I am rooting for Hamilton, let him be champion again!”

Sebastian Vettel has expressed his support for his former biggest rival. According to the German world champion, if anyone can pull Ferrari out of its long-standing rut, it's Lewis Hamilton.
Despite cheering for his fellow racer’s success, he acknowledges that it was Hamilton who prevented him from flourishing at Scuderia Ferrari in the past. But that doesn't bother Vettel:
"It's true that I couldn't succeed because Lewis had a better package with Mercedes back then. We'll see how his cooperation with Ferrari works out; in any case, I wholeheartedly support him. We've fought a lot against each other, and over time we've become good friends. I don't need to prove his abilities or the work he puts in to anyone. He is the most genuine driver in the current Formula 1; his results and records speak for themselves, and he always uses his influence for positive purposes, which is why it's great that he is still part of the grid. I'm really rooting for him to win the championship, but it won't be easy. There's Charles Leclerc, who is very talented; the two of them make a very strong pair, but it doesn't solely depend on them whether they have a chance at the championship title as the final races approach. Let's hope it will be close; that would benefit everyone." - reflected Sebastian Vettel.
