Verstappen tested a GT3 car in Spa.

While everyone was heading home from the Canadian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen was officially at another track, Spa Francorchamps.
It seems that the four-time world champion of Red Bull Racing is not joking at all, and the rumors are indeed "true" that he is increasingly considering racing outside of F1. So, Franz Hermann got back in the car and tested in Belgium on Tuesday. The peculiar twist of the situation is that a few days later, the Spa 24h field will take to the track at this location. If Verstappen weren't racing in Austria, then... and we leave the sentence open.
Verstappen has long indicated that endurance racing, especially the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Nürburgring race, are among his long-term goals. The purpose of the tests carried out under the pseudonym Franz Hermann is precisely to obtain the special starting permit needed for the latter race.
