Schumacher: "Hamilton's career could be ruined by Ferrari"

According to the Bahrain tests, it is clear that Charles Leclerc was better than Lewis Hamilton in every aspect of the game. Dr. Helmut Marko believes that while Hamilton is capable of sudden, significant improvements out of nowhere, if that doesn't happen, then it's the end for him...

Ralf Schumacher, who works as an expert for German Sky Sport F1, does not understand the hysteria surrounding Hamilton. Seeing the test results, he experiences what is happening in public as particularly schizophrenic:

"You can't expect great things from him. According to the most optimistic estimates, Hamilton is missing three to four tenths, but it is also true that this is not a tragedy at this point. He may still need to get used to the car, his new situation, and so on... What is happening right now is equivalent to an earthquake; everyone sees him as a messiah. He is a seven-time world champion who clearly switched teams because he wants to fight for the world championship title again. In theory, he will be able to do this, but I am completely sure that it will not happen in his first year. I think anyone who expects this from him is living in a dream world. Meanwhile, if Charles Leclerc continues to be consistently better than him and remains so, then it is obvious that this is the end for Lewis Hamilton, he has already passed his peak. And we all know that Scuderia Ferrari is not particularly patient with underperforming drivers... So ultimately, Ferrari could be the team that buries Lewis's career. The reverse could also be true if Lewis Hamilton were to defeat Charles Leclerc. But I see little chance of that happening." - reflected Ralf Schumacher.
