Several sources have independently reported that strong actions may take place at Red Bull after the upcoming Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. As one of the first acts, they might dismiss Christian Horner, whose dismissal is allegedly being heavily lobbied for by the RB majority owners. In this light, Oliver Oakes' unexpected resignation from Alpine last week may make sense, as he is reportedly being negotiated with by Red Bull Racing, as he has been eyed for Horner's position. However, Oakes is not the only option, as Franz Tost's name has also come up, who is quite an insider personality and well-liked within Red Bull circles. However, contradictory reports are also emerging, stating that Horner's position is not in danger. One thing is for sure, Horner will be the team principal of Red Bull Racing in Imola.
