Older Sainz: "It wasn't Ferrari that needed Hamilton, but the other way around."

A long time has passed since the announcement of Carlos Sainz's release, and from time to time it stirs up storms that the Spaniard was let go by Scuderia Ferrari during what may be the best season of his life.

Many believe that the team is to blame, but now Carlos Sainz's father spoke about how Lewis Hamilton is much more to blame for the events than the red stable:

“Ferrari was very satisfied with Carlos, but he couldn't stay because Hamilton offered himself to the team. He was the one who approached Ferrari, not the other way around. That's how this story unfolded, but it's pointless to dwell on it now. What bothers me, however, is that Carlos is not receiving the respect and appreciation that he deserves based on his abilities. He had his best season, we are seeing his current best self, and he will only continue to develop. He is a driver who becomes more complete every year, but a difficult period awaits him at Williams. The team was second to last among the constructors, yet he is very motivated. It was hard for him to process his situation during the season, especially that neither Mercedes nor Red Bull Racing chose him, but you will see what he is capable of...” - said the elder Sainz with disappointed pride.
