Hamilton: "If I get the eighth, I won't retire!"
2025-02-20
Lewis Hamilton has made it clear that he did not come to Maranello to retire, but quite the opposite: He wants to be the person who wins the world championship with Scuderia Ferrari for the first time since 2007.
If anyone knows how to turn a team that has seen better days into a champion, it is certainly the Brit. He wants to leverage this experience, and if he succeeds, he will not retire. On the contrary!
“A world title with Scuderia Ferrari would not be my eighth; it would rather be my first. Yes, I want to win a championship with Ferrari, for Ferrari, and that's what I'm currently working on. Right now, I'm not thinking about this being the eighth, which would break every record, but I'm pursuing this dream as if it were the very first. Although the team has won many titles in the past, they have not succeeded in a while, and I feel it is my mission to help them achieve this. I am focused on winning, and all my thoughts are consumed with how I can be as useful as possible to achieve our goal. If I succeed and win another world championship, I certainly will not retire. I cannot imagine stopping…” – said Lewis Hamilton.
Fasten your seatbelts, is the ninth coming?
