F1 is coming alive: Antonelli tested in Jerez

Williams has fired up its 2025 car, and Andrea Kimi Antonelli has completed his first 2025 Mercedes kilometers in Spain.

Preparation is indeed necessary, as despite Antonelli possibly being the rookie with the most kilometers ever (with nearly 30 race distances, his team principal claims he has over 9000 km under his belt), he hasn't seemed convincing so far. During the private test, they used the Mercedes 2020 car, the W11, with camouflage paint, and the fact that they have high hopes for Antonelli is evident from the possibility that he could be the first rookie driver at the team since 2010.

The team sees him as the future world champion, despite the fact that during his "debut," he severely damaged the Mercedes in the first free practice of the Italian Grand Prix. Since then, he has driven the current race car again in Mexico and has also hit the track in Abu Dhabi.
