2025-01-06Although we still have to wait a little for the opening of the 2025 season, the serious work is already underway, and soon we will hear the first starts of the new cars, the filming days will begin, followed by the tests... And hippity-hop, here comes the Australian Grand Prix championship opener!
And right away, a significant change, as this means F1 is returning to its roots and established traditions, as it would have been unimaginable for a long time for the season not to start in Melbourne. Thank goodness, tradition has prevailed, so on March 16, the 76th Formula 1 season will kick off at Albert Park, where, similar to last year, 24 races will be held this year, including six sprint weekends. The first of these will take place during the second race weekend of the year in Shanghai, followed by excitement in Miami, Spa Francorchamps, Austin, Sao Paulo, and Losail even on Friday.
The field will arrive in Europe in mid-May, with Imola being the first race when the Formula 1 World Championship sets foot on the old continent. A significant change affecting us Hungarians is that the Hungarian Grand Prix has also regained its usual role as the last race before the summer break, arriving at the partially renewed Hungaroring between August 3 and 5. The venue and date for the season finale will remain fixed, with the F1 concluding the current racing year in early December in Abu Dhabi.
