Berger: "Ferrari will be world champion in 2025"

According to Berger, with the development of recent years and the arrival of Lewis Hamilton, everything has come together this year for Ferrari to finally step out of its own shadow. The Austrian believes this will be THE year when it happens:

“This season, I would bet all my money on Ferrari. I couldn't say whether it will be Lewis Hamilton or Charles Leclerc who will be the world champion, or whether the drivers or constructors will win - but they will win. They will win the championship! They are incredibly strong in terms of power unit and chassis, probably having one of the strongest driver pairings of all time, if not the strongest. Moreover, with Hamilton, a level of motivation has arrived in Maranello that is rare. He needed new stimuli, and I think he will get them perfectly at Ferrari.

At Mercedes, he could only occasionally taste the sweetness of victory, and now he has entered an environment where everyone is starving for success. I am sure he will give his best, but I fear he will struggle to cope with Leclerc's speed. What can greatly help him is his friendship with Frederic Vasseur. I believe Hamilton is not just a simple driver, but a leader who will be able to inspire and drive the entire team to victory!” - said Gerhard Berger, explaining why he considers the Italians the biggest contenders for 2025.
