Fittipaldi: "PIASTRIT se jpoġġu ħdejn Max..."

Sergio Perez's place is in danger at Red Bull Racing, this is no longer news. Names are coming in daily who could replace him, and now Christian Fittipaldi has thrown an interesting one into the mix.

The former Formula 1 driver Fittipaldi believes it could easily happen that Oscar Piastri, who is struggling in the role of the second driver at Red Bull, might part ways with McLaren at the end of the season and continue his career in Perez's place starting from 2025: 

„As strange as it may sound to think about it now, I do not consider it impossible that Oscar Piastri leaves McLaren at the end of the year and transfers to Red Bull in place of Perez. By then, Piastri might be a bit tired of supporting Lando Norris in the role of the second driver, and driven by a sudden idea, he will switch.” - reflected Fittipaldi.

It may sound crazy, but there are several possibilities hidden in this. One is that Piastri could sit in the current best car in the field and measure himself against the best driver in the championship. Red Bull would gain a great driver, while seriously weakening their main rival, the McLaren team. The proposition is thought-provoking!
